Creative Retreats and Residencies for musicians
Our Residencies and Retreats bring musicians together across genres, experience, and backgrounds
—for 4-10 days of collaboration, creativity, & connection in nature.
Every summer since 2021,
we go somewhere outside Berlin for a few days.
For workshops that members propose and run themselves — on production, on performance, on the meta topics about artist identity or funding or career that's hard to find time for.
For jams that nobody planned but everyone ends up at.
For listening and feedback sessions where people are actually honest with each other, but also super kind and supportive and caring.
A lot of cooking. A lot of dumb jokes, especially about chickens. Late nights. Running into someone in a corner of the garden recording something heartfelt and personal, or someone who’s turned the sauna (yes, of course there’s a sauna) into a vocal booth.
One retreat to get through the pandemic became the foundation for something much bigger:
a community of 50+ musicians across genres and experience levels.
All genres,
all experience levels,
no big egos,
surrounded by nature,
music all around.

Resonance is committed to creating an inclusive and intersectional space.
Our retreats are minimum 50% FLINTA, and we give preference to those from marginalized (e.g. BIPOC) backgrounds at our residencies and events.
Participation is on a sliding scale, ‘pay-what-you-can’ basis.
